- 1. Cream butter and 1 cup sugar until blended.
- 2. Add eggs, one at a time, beating thoroughly after each, until mixture is light and fluffy.
- 3. Stir in sour cream and vanilla.
- 4. Mix flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt.
- 5. Add to first mixture and beat until smooth.
- 6. Spread half of batter in greased 9-inch square baking pan.
- 7. Mix remaining 1/2 cup sugar, the walnuts and cinnamon.
- 8. Sprinkle about 2/3 of mixture over batter.
- 9. Spread with remaining batter. Sprinkle with remaining nut mixture.
- 10. Bake at 325 degrees F for 45 minutes or until pick inserted near center comes out clean.
- 11. Serve warm or cool from pan.
